Once a week in April we organize an activity to raise awareness about our environment. Students participate in ‘Pitch In Canada’, cleaning up beaches or roadsides.   For years this included a Salmon Enhancement Program raising fry from eggs for release into Beullah Creek as part of our Earth celebrations.

Earth Month events culminate in ‘Green Day’ ~ a fun day for everyone to create their own fossil fuel free transportation to school. Students are rewarded for their creative efforts in true festive fashion. A crepe breakfast prepared by parents, a marimba music performance and a special assembly acknowledge their inventive foot, hoof and other means of transport.
